Terms
What you get, what it costs, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Plain terms, written to be read rather than skipped. If anything here is unclear, ask before you pay us anything.
Last updated 23 September 2026.
1. What you are buying
One of two fixed-price builds:
- One-Page Site, £495, or £247.50 for the first ten builds.
- Three-Page Site, £895, or £447.50 for the first ten builds.
The price you are given at the end of your call is the total cost of the build. WebBack is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to anything you are quoted.
2. Paying for it
Half when the build starts, half when you approve it. The second half is due within seven days of approval, and the site does not go live until it has been paid in full.
3. What is included
- The words written for you, from the call and the notes you send.
- Up to six services or areas of work on a one-page site.
- A mobile-first build, with a contact form, click-to-call, a map, your hours and your service area.
- Page titles, descriptions, a sitemap and your business details set up for search engines.
- One round of changes, meaning one consolidated list of amendments after you have seen the preview.
- Domain pointing, DNS and the SSL certificate configured for you.
- Business email set up and connected, if you want it. The subscription itself is paid by you, direct to Google or Microsoft.
- A privacy notice, and these terms if you want them on your site.
A privacy notice and a terms page do not count towards your page allowance. They are necessary information pages, not content pages. A three-page customer still gets three real pages.
4. What is not included
Some things are third-party costs, paid by you, in your own name: your domain, typically £5 to £15 a year, and business email if you want it. Professional photography is optional and is not included.
We do not build online shops, payment systems, booking or scheduling systems, customer logins or portals, web apps, dashboards or databases, sites longer than three pages, ongoing blogs, logos or branding, print work, SEO campaigns or paid advertising.
5. Changes, and where the included round ends
One round of changes is included. A round means one list, worked through together, rather than a set number of individual requests.
Inside the round: rewording, swapping images, correcting details and adjusting layout.
Outside the round: changing the structure of a page, or redesigning it after you have approved it. That is new work, and it is quoted and agreed before anything starts.
Further rounds are quoted job by job rather than charged at a fixed rate, because the size of the job varies. Nothing outside the agreed package begins without a written quote you have accepted.
6. How long it takes, and what we need from you
The build takes 5 to 10 working days from the point your material arrives, not from the call. Material means your logo, photos, services, prices, the areas you cover, your opening hours and two to four example sites you like.
If you would rather not write any of it, we can. Tell us on the call and we will quote a fixed fee to create the content for you, agreed before we start.
If nothing arrives, your slot is held for 30 days. After that the project is paused and your deposit is held against a restart rather than refunded, so you are not left with an open-ended commitment and neither are we.
7. Cancelling
- Before work starts: cancel for a full refund of your deposit.
- After work starts, before the preview: the deposit is retained and nothing further is owed.
- After the preview has been sent: the full price is payable, because the work has been done.
If you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, you have statutory cancellation rights that are more generous than the above, and those rights apply instead.
8. Who owns what
Your domain, your hosting account and the finished site are yours, registered in your name from the start. When the work is finished you get the login details, the files and a short note on changing things yourself. There is nothing to unpick later and nobody to ask for permission.
9. If something breaks after launch
If something does not work the way it was built to work, we fix it at no charge for 30 days after launch. That covers broken links, a form that stops delivering, or a layout fault on a common device.
It does not cover changes to the site. A change of mind, new content, or something you now want done differently is a change rather than a fault, and it is quoted separately. Breakage caused by someone else editing the site is also not covered.
10. The Care Plan
£29 a month, optional, no minimum term. The plan is about somebody looking after the site and making the small changes for you. Hosting is free on your own account with or without it, so hosting is not what is being sold.
What counts as a small change
Swapping one image for another, or rewording a sentence. Updating a price, a phone number or your opening hours. It does not mean rewriting a whole paragraph, adding a section, or anything that needs new copy written from scratch. Those are quoted separately.
How much is included
Up to one hour of changes a month. Unused time does not carry over. Most small changes take a few minutes, so an hour covers a good number of them.
How quickly
Small changes are done within five working days.
Anything urgent is done within 24 hours. Urgent means something that stops customers reaching you: a form that has stopped working, a wrong phone number, a page that will not load.
Putting the site back
Every version of your site is kept by the hosting platform, and an earlier one can be put back. That is true whether or not you are on the Care Plan. What the plan adds is that you can email us and we will do it, rather than working out how yourself.
We do not currently run uptime monitoring, so we cannot promise to tell you before you notice a problem yourself. If that changes, it will be said here.
Cancelling the plan
Cancel any time, with no exit fee. Everything is already in your name, so nothing needs transferring back and the site carries on exactly as it is.
11. Questions
Email hello@webback.co.uk. How we handle your personal information is set out separately in the privacy notice.
Clear on all that?
Then the next step is a 20-minute call, and a fixed price at the end of it.
